After establishing a very successful primary care practice in San Francisco, California and serving as Public Health Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco he developed a very successful healthcare consulting company. For the last twenty years he has provided scientific leadership and advice to the nation’s largest health care payors, Medicare, Medicaid and pharmaceutical companies regarding the safety, efficacy and coverage of new medical technology and pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Sánchez received his medical degree from the University of California School of Medicine at San Francisco. He then completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He received a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. He also attended the Business School at the University of California Irvine.
